Guides

Use a consumption figure that matches the trip

Fuel consumption varies with route and operating conditions.

Model fuel-price uncertainty

Price per litre is an input, not a prediction.

Calculate consumption from a fill-and-distance sample

Fuel used divided by distance can produce a practical consumption estimate.

Split fuel cost for a group

Equal sharing is simple when everyone agrees the same cost belongs in the pool.

Fuel cost is not total vehicle cost

A trip can create costs beyond the fuel burned.
